Osun State Releases Supplementary List for Teachers Recruitment Exercise

The Osun State Government has unveiled a supplementary list of successful candidates as part of its ongoing teachers recruitment exercise, increasing the number of appointments beyond the initial batch. This move aims to strengthen the state’s education sector and provide additional employment opportunities for qualified individuals.
With the release of the supplementary list, the total number of candidates for the 2026 teachers recruitment has risen from 1,000 to 1,241. Governor Ademola Adeleke approved the expansion to allow more qualified applicants to secure teaching positions in primary and secondary schools across Osun State.
The updated breakdown includes 660 positions for the Osun State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), 526 for the Teachers’ Service Commission (TESCOM), and 55 for Education Officers. Successful candidates are advised to review the updated list and complete all required profiling and documentation with the respective agencies.
Officials have encouraged the selected candidates to approach their roles with professionalism, highlighting the importance of quality teaching in improving educational outcomes. This expansion aligns with the state government’s broader objectives of enhancing education delivery and addressing youth unemployment among graduates.
