TGFGN Advocates Early Peace Education in Schools
The TGFGN has urged that peacebuilding should be introduced early in life, especially within school environments, where young minds are most receptive.
The group explained that classrooms should go beyond academics and also serve as spaces for teaching respect, understanding, and peaceful conflict resolution. According to them, exposing students to these values early can help reduce future violence and encourage social harmony.
They also called on educators and policymakers to collaborate in embedding peace-oriented lessons into school programs and daily activities. This approach, they argue, would help students develop stronger emotional intelligence and a better ability to handle disagreements constructively.
TGFGN maintained that long-term peace in society depends on how well children are guided to embrace dialogue instead of conflict from an early age.
