The Lagos Muslim Foundation has distributed N25 million in financial support to various beneficiaries, with students receiving the largest share of the funds.
The disbursement, carried out in Lagos, is part of the foundation’s ongoing humanitarian and educational support initiatives aimed at reducing financial hardship and improving access to education. A large percentage of the funds was directed toward students in different tertiary institutions to help cover tuition fees, purchase academic materials, and meet other educational expenses.
Representatives of the foundation explained that prioritising students reflects their belief that education is a key driver of personal growth and societal development. They noted that providing financial assistance to young people helps ensure that talented and hardworking students are not forced to abandon their studies due to economic difficulties.
During the event, officials of the Lagos Muslim Foundation reiterated the organisation’s commitment to supporting education and community welfare. According to them, the foundation has consistently focused on programmes that empower individuals and uplift disadvantaged members of society.
In addition to students, the N25 million support package also benefited widows, small business owners, and individuals requiring medical aid. The foundation stated that the initiative is designed to address different social needs within the community, particularly among vulnerable groups.
