The Federal Government has reiterated its commitment to overhauling Nigeria’s education sector in line with its Renewed Hope agenda, pledging to provide inclusive, equitable, and quality learning opportunities for all citizens.

Speaking in Abuja on Tuesday, the Minister of Education, Professor Tahir Mamman, said the administration of President Bola Tinubu is determined to address long-standing challenges such as inadequate infrastructure, poor funding, skills mismatch, and the rising number of out-of-school children. According to him, the government is already rolling out targeted reforms to strengthen learning outcomes and reposition education as the backbone of national development.

“The government is leaving no stone unturned in ensuring that every Nigerian child, regardless of background, has access to quality education. This is not just a policy directive; it is a national priority,” Mamman said. He added that ongoing interventions will improve teacher training, expand digital literacy, and provide schools with modern learning tools to equip students for 21st-century demands.

He further noted that the ministry is working closely with state governments, development partners, and private sector stakeholders to bridge resource gaps and ensure that policies translate into measurable results. “Education remains the most powerful tool to fight poverty, reduce inequality, and secure the future of this nation. We are committed to delivering reforms that will be felt across all levels of education,” he said.
