In a move aimed at strengthening education in public schools, Femi Gbajabiamila has distributed textbooks and other educational materials to more than 8,000 students in Lagos.

The distribution programme benefited students from several public secondary schools and was designed to improve access to essential academic resources. The materials provided included textbooks for key subjects, notebooks, and other learning aids intended to support students in their studies.

During the event, Gbajabiamila stressed the need for continuous investment in education, describing it as a vital pillar for national growth and development. According to him, many students in public schools struggle due to limited access to necessary study materials, which can affect their ability to perform well academically. The initiative, he said, was introduced to help bridge that gap and promote a more effective learning environment.

The former Speaker of the House of Representatives of Nigeria also encouraged the students to remain committed to their education and make good use of the materials provided. He reminded them that education remains one of the most powerful ways to secure a better future.
