Education: Teesas Urges Schools to Embrace Technology for Better Learning Outcomes
Education technology company, Teesas Education, has called on school owners across Nigeria to adopt technology-driven solutions that can boost learning outcomes and provide real-time tracking of student performance.
The appeal came after the conclusion of Teesas’ Summer School programme, where students showcased creativity, problem-solving abilities, and technological innovations in a pitch competition.
Highlighting its Education Management System, the company explained that “parents can monitor their children’s academic progress without waiting until the end of the term, while schools can also engage more effectively with families.”
Teesas further encouraged schools to integrate personal development into their systems through “The Leader in Me” initiative, designed to equip teachers, school managers, and parents with the tools to raise responsible and well-rounded children.
Chairman and Founder of Teesas, Osayi Izedonmwen, said the recommendations were inspired by the outstanding performance of students at the programme. “The students have shown us they are aware of issues around them and possess the innovative mindset to solve them. Their work was truly inspiring,” he stated.
Co-founder of Andela and former Flutterwave CEO, Iyinoluwa Aboyeji, who also served as a judge, commended the talent displayed by the students. “The drive and ambition of these students are commendable. They prove that with the right platform and mentorship, young people can build transformative ideas,” he remarked.
Judges praised the students for weaving sustainability and technology into their projects, noting that constructive feedback would further refine their innovations for future impact.
On sustaining the momentum, Izedonmwen encouraged parents to explore Teesas Learning Centres in Ikeja, Ikota, and Lekki, where children can prepare for exams while developing interests in technology, arts, and leadership. He also noted that “schools could partner with Teesas to run year-round programmes that promote both academic excellence and personal development.”
The Summer School closed with a resounding call for stronger collaboration among schools, parents, and edtech platforms to equip Nigerian children with the skills needed for the future.
