Education: School Charges Graduating Pupils to Live by Integrity, Resilience, and Excellence
The Proprietor of Achievax Base Schools, Alakuko, Lagos State, Ayodeji Omotola, has called on pupils to anchor their lives on the values of integrity, resilience, and excellence.
Speaking at the school’s 18th graduation ceremony, which produced 127 pupils, Omotola stressed that the pupils had been equipped with the right knowledge and abilities to succeed beyond the classroom. He encouraged them to embrace discipline and perseverance as they confront future challenges.
“As you step out of these gates and into the wider world, remember the values that have been inculcated in you, which are integrity, resilience and excellence. Life will offer both opportunities and challenges, but I am confident that you have been adequately equipped not just with knowledge but with wisdom,” Omotola said.
He further advised, “Do not fear – let it be a teacher. Do not rest on your achievements, but let them be stepping stones. And above all, never forget where you came from because your roots will keep you grounded as you reach for the stars. Each of you has unique potential, and your achievement will be so immeasurable.”
Omotola also commended parents for the sacrifices they made in giving their children a strong educational foundation.
In his remarks, the Head of Department, Economics, Lagos State University, Prof. Olarenwaju Ogunlana, encouraged the pupils to represent their alma mater well, saying they should “be good ambassadors of the school.”
The outgoing Senior Prefect, Joseph Omotola, and his female counterpart, Olamide Coker, expressed appreciation to their parents and teachers for their dedication. They urged their fellow graduands “to step into the world with courage,” while advising current students to “be bold and kind.
